Moroccan TV show slammed after implying that makeup is the best way to deal with domestic violence

A Moroccan television channel, 2M, thought that the best way to deal with domestic violence was through the use of makeup.

A video by AJ+ depicts part of the programme, whereby a beauty presenter teaches the audience how to cover up fake bruises on a model.

Upon being broadcasted on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, thw show sparked controversy among viewers, attracting comments such as:

"What 2M did with their women's show is typical of our society: When we can't solve a problem, we put makeup on it."

"Violence against women is a bit ugly but it's not bad with foundation... Well done 2M."
