Guy learns the hard way what happens when you 'skurf' too near the shore

A man was skurfing off the beaches of Fiji and things were going well till he got too near to the shore.

Skurfing is a form of water skiing using a surfboard.

In a video posted on Jukin Media, the guy was having a great time catching the surf when he reached the shallow end and his board got stuck in the sand.

He ended up flying off his board and in a major 'ouch' moment.
