It has happened at this address before.

Another fire broke out at 11 Kranji Crescent in Sungei Kadut on Feb 19 morning.

Several Stompers shared videos and photos of a humongous plume of black smoke filling the sky above the blaze.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to the fire at about 10.30am, said SCDF on Facebook.

The fire involved waste materials in a warehouse measuring about 50m by 50m.

At the height of the operation, six water jets, four unmanned firefighting machines and a combined platform ladder were deployed to contain the fire.

A person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and burn injuries.

SCDF posted at 12.12pm: "Traffic is building up in the area; SCDF seeks the public's understanding to avoid the area and consider taking alternative routes."

At almost 7pm, SPCA updated: "The fire has been largely extinguished, with some deep-seated pockets of fire remaining."

This is the third reported fire at the address since 2018.

In March 2024, SCDF activated 10 emergency vehicles and about 50 personnel to fight a fire for three hours at a recycling and waste management company there. There were no reported injuries.
