A 63-year-old woman was taken to hospital after she was hit by a car while crossing East Coast Road on Friday afternoon (Apr 26).

Stomper KL alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video taken from his car's dashboard camera.

"Who's at fault?" he asked. "The pedestrian or driver?"

In the video, the woman is seen jaywalking across the road and looking for traffic coming from her left.

However, once she reaches the last lane, she starts looking straight ahead and does not appear to see a car coming.

The car hits her and causes her to flip before landing on the road.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 3.37pm.

"The pedestrian, a 63-year-old woman, was conscious when conveyed to Raffles Hospital," a spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
