Fatal accident involving 2 lorries at Braddell Road: 2 people trapped, 1 driver dies in hospital
A lorry driver died in hospital after an accident involving his vehicle and another lorry at Braddell Road on May 27.
Stomper Irwan shared a video and photos of the accident's aftermath.
Stomper Grace alerted Stomp to a video posted online by Singapore roads accident.com.
Stomper Irene was stuck for a long time in a traffic jam as a result of the accident.
"Must be very serious," she said.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at Braddell Road towards Bartley Road before Bishan Flyover at about 2pm.
Two people were found trapped in the driver's seat of the lorries. SCDF rescued them using hydraulic rescue equipment.
The police told Stomp the 36-year-old male lorry driver was conscious when taken to the hospital but later died.
The other male lorry driver, 59, and his male passenger, 48, were also conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
