A woman alleged that after her family were injured on a bus accident in Malaysia, the bus company showed no concern for the passengers.

Stomper Jo said her family had boarded the bus at Golden Mile Tower on June 28 at 11.59pm, bound for Ipoh.

"At around 2am, while speeding along the highway in Malaysia, our bus crashed into a lorry at high speed," recounted the Stomper.

"The entire front windscreen shattered and the passengers, including my family, were thrown forward. My sister’s glasses broke in the impact. We sustained bruises on our faces and bodies, and were left shaken and in pain."

But the Stomper said that what made it worse was the bus company’s complete lack of professionalism and responsibility.

"When I called the hotline, the lady who picked up responded rudely and dismissively, saying things like 'What crash?' in an irritated tone," recalled the Stomper.

"She even implied it wasn’t their problem because the incident 'didn’t happen in Singapore'. The call was passed around, and eventually someone messaged me via WhatsApp, promising to provide another number to follow up."

More than a month later, there was still no number provided to follow up.

"No care for the passengers involved," said the Stomper.

"This is pure negligence. A bus company that allows reckless driving, does not check on its injured passengers after a serious crash and blatantly refuses to take responsibility should not be operating cross-border services."

She added that she hoped authorities would investigate the company's safety standards and passenger welfare practices.

On July 3, the company's operating licence was suspended for 30 days by Malaysian authorities due to a viral video showing one of the company's bus drivers failing to prioritise road safety.
