Ex-dolphin trainer wins Manhunt, social media marketer is Miss Body Beautiful & S'pore Chinatown
Information technology executive Macric Koh, 31, won Manhunt Singapore 2024 in a ceremony at the Orchid Country Club Grand Ballroom on July 20.
A video of the event was posted online by organiser ERM Singapore on Aug 2.
Mr Koh, who was bestowed the Mr Fitness title as well, said after his victory: "Now that I've won, I can finally inspire other guys around my age to chase and follow the dreams that they have a long time ago."
He had joined the competition because it has been his dream to model ever since he was 14.
"Something people don't know about me is I have ADHD, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder," he said in an earlier video.
"My greatest motivation in life is to show that people with special needs can also lead a colourful life."
According to his Facebook page, Mr Koh has worked as an instructor, assistant cook and bartender.
Also a former dolphin trainer at Resorts World Singapore, he recently shared a photo on Instagram of him getting close and personal with a couple of the marine mammals.
The Miss Singapore Beauty Pageant grand finale was also held at the same event, where the titles of Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Singapore Chinatown went to social media marketer Rebecca Kwek, 25.
After winning, she said: "I can't believe what happened just now, honestly. Now that I've won, I would like to utilise my platform to advocate fitness and to encourage people to lead a healthier lifestyle."
She posted on Instagram: "Beyond grateful. Not only is it a dream come true but a full circle moment. Ever since I was a little girl, my helper of 20+ years would always say that one day I would be a Miss Singapore. And here I am, Miss Singapore 2024 - Miss Singapore Chinatown 2024!"
Miss Kwek has appeared in several TikTok videos posted by Pet Lovers Centre where she works.
