Search & Examination officers of the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) had profiled the Singapore-registered vehicle for enhanced checks on Sept 9.

When asked if he had anything to declare, the driver replied no, said ICA in a social media post on Sept 12.

During the course of thorough checks, officers uncovered two vapes hidden in the pocket compartment of a baby stroller in the boot of the car.

A third vape was found in the driver's bag.

He was issued a composition fine of $700.

Vape users under 18 face a fine of $500 while adults can be fined $700.

Second-time offenders have to attend a rehabilitation programme for three months.

Subsequent offenders face prosecution and a maximum fine of $2,000.
