A 28-year-old driver was arrested for suspected drink driving after getting into a traffic accident in Yishun on Friday night (Sept 23).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car along Yishun Avenue 6 at around 11.35pm and arrested the driver.

Stomper Christina said she heard a loud bang and called the police.

Sharing photos of the accident scene, she recounted: "I looked out from my window saw the road railing fall off. The police came five minutes after I called 999.

"The bumper of the car involved also got dislodged."

Pictures of the accident site show traffic cones placed where the railing had been damaged, as well as debris from the car at the grass patch on the other side of the road.

Police investigations are ongoing.
