The people looked like they were having a good time. There was a striped sofa to lounge on as well as cans of Tiger beer to enjoy.

The problem was that this was not at a night club - but in a common area of a Bukit Panjang HDB block.

Stomper W shared photos of revellers at what he called a "Tiger beer lounge" on the ground floor at Block 470 Segar Road on Nov 9 evening.

He said the party went on from 6.30pm until past 9pm.

"The family placed a permanent sofa for their smoking, beers of Tiger and causing loud noises throughout the entire neighbourhood," complained the Stomper.

"Tonnes of cigarette butts were thrown inside the drain."

In response to a Stomp query, a Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council spokesperson said on Nov 13: "Our property team has reached out to the resident involved, who has agreed to clear the sofa at the common area by Nov 18.

"We kindly request all residents to refrain from obstructing common areas such as corridors, walkways, and staircase landings. Your cooperation is vital in ensuring a safe and pleasant living environment for everyone.

"We will continue to monitor these areas closely to ensure the well-being of all residents."

Sharing photos of the area without the sofa on Nov 18, the Stomper said: "The Tiger beer lounge is gone."
