A diner was shocked to find a centipede in her economy rice from a stall at Compass One shopping mall in Sengkang.

Stomper JC said the incident happened on Dec 16, at around 3pm.

She recounted: "I had ordered a plate of economic rice and was halfway through eating when I discovered the centipede. I was immediately taken aback and felt sick to my stomach.

"As a customer, I expect a certain level of quality and hygiene in food served to the public. Finding a centipede in my meal was not only disturbing but also unacceptable."

JC said she was fine after the incident, but it left her feeling shock and disappointment.

The Stomper added: "Although the stall assistant apologised and made a refund, I didn't see them take down the whole dish from the shelf after my feedback.

"I am sharing this to create awareness to the public and tell everyone to be careful when eating out."
