Diner finds mould and spores in salad, Watami Japanese Dining investigating
A diner at Watami Japanese Dining at Junction 8 noticed mould and spores on her salad.
Stomper Anonymous visited the restaurant for lunch on May 9, at 1.48pm.
However, she noticed that the salad from the lunch set appeared to have visible mould and spores on the lettuce.
She said, "After alerting the staff, they did not feel it was an issue to consume the salad."
Following a Stomp query, a spokesperson from Watami said: "We are aware of this incident, as the shop manager had in fact performed service recovery on the spot and reported it to the head office.
"As we are in the process of contacting the diner and carrying out internal investigations, we seek your kind understanding that we are unable to comment at the moment."
