A man got into an argument with a noodle stall worker who didn't give him the "free upsize" he ordered.
Stomper Kenneth shared a photo of the sign at the Chao Yuan Noodle stall in the 24-hour coffee shop at 138 Tampines Street 11, which said "Free add-on noodle (usual price $1)".

A photo of the receipt shows he paid $5 for the minced meat noodles, including the "free upsize", on Nov 10 at 10.20pm.

"Rental too high or inflation too high, now even the noodle shop serves half a bowl of noodles as an upsize," said the Stomper.
"The worker did not give me the upsized noodles even though my order said 'upsize'. I went to confront him and asked why it was not upsized as advertised in the menu.
"He shouted back, denying that my order was not an upsize, and even took a video.
"From when I first ordered, he was shouting at me throughout the whole conversation as though he wanted to fight."
The Stomper added that he would never eat at the stall again and shared a video of his confrontation with the worker, who in the video, also used his phone to record the incident.
The Stomper, who can't be seen in the video, can be heard telling the worker in Mandarin that his attitude was bad and he should not scold customers. The Stomper then asked for his "upsize".
The worker, who was wearing a mask, can be heard speaking into his phone and said that the customer asked for additional meatballs.
The Stomper kept asking for for his upsized noodles and pointed out that the receipt said "free upsize", but he was given only "normal" noodles.
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesperson for Chao Yuan Noodle said: "We truly value our customers and their feedback.
"After receiving this complaint, we promptly reached out to the customer to try and resolve their concerns directly. However, it appears that they have chosen to share their experience on multiple social media platforms instead.
"Our priority remains to listen to our customers, understand their perspective and find a positive resolution."
In July, a Facebook user named Eric Tan also complained about the same stall in the Complaint Singapore group. He said a guy at the stall had a "very bad attitude problem".

Someone named Alvin Lim, who said he was the director of Chao Yuan Noodle, replied in the comments: "I would like to extend my sincere apologies for the less-than-satisfactory service you experienced during your recent visit to Chao Yuan Noodle (138 Tampines).
"In Chao Yuan Noodle, we strive to provide excellent service and delicious noodles to all our customers, and it is clear that we fell short of these standards on this occasion.
"Rest assured that I am taking immediate steps to address the issues you encountered and ensure that such occurrences do not happen in the future. We cannot prevent the inefficiency service made by all our staff, but we would always take immediate remedy whenever problem occurs. We hope we are given a chance to change for the better.
"Secondly, I thank you for bringing this matter to my attention. Your feedback is incredibly important to us...
"Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back to Chao Yuan Noodle soon."
Chao Yuan Noodle has more than a dozen outlets around Singapore with two in Tampines.
