Deepavali street decorations catch fire in Little India

Deepavali street decorations caught fire in Little India on Monday night (Nov 7).

Stomper Marco alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video he took of Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers near Tekka Market.

In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said it was alerted to a fire along Serangoon Road on 9.20pm.

"The fire involved street decorations," an SCDF spokesman said.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
