He is only nine years old, but can masterfully recite the Singapore pledge in four languages.

Stomper Noreen shared an endearing video of her son, Muhammad Zahir Bin Muhammad Hozir Bonawi, reciting the national pledge enthusiastically in all four of Singapore's official languages.

The Mayflower Primary School student starts off in English, follows in Malay, then in Mandarin, before ending in Tamil, all with a big smile.

According to Noreen, her son was so proud to recite the pledge that he memorised all four versions by himself.

"Some children have learning difficulties, especially with Tamil and Chinese, and I want him to be an inspiration for other kids," she explained.

"As SG60 approaches, the greatest gift for Singapore is the new generation."

Noreen hopes her son, who is a Primary 3 pupil, can be an "inspiration for every student in this multi-racial country."

She told Stomp: "I'm just proud of him that he can manage this because it's not easy."

How many languages can you recite the pledge in?

What do you think?
