'Cute, dangerous or stupid?': Baby seen in delivery bag on back of e-bike at Fernvale Link
A child was seen sitting in a delivery bag mounted on the rear of an electric bicycle in Sengkang on Feb 23.
Stomper J shared a photo of the incident, which she said happened at Fernvale Link at about 7pm.
"At first look, I thought it was cute," she said. "But then I started thinking about the kid's safety. The child might suddenly stand up or move."
In the photo, a female rider wearing a helmet is seen pushing the e-bike at a road crossing while the baby sits inside the attached delivery bag.
The baby does not appear to be wearing a helmet or any additional safety gear.
According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), loads and accessories on power-assisted bicycles (PABs) must be properly secured.
Pillion riding is permitted only if the PAB is originally designed for it, and pillion riders must be at least 16 years old.
