Chinese man spends crappy night with hand stuck in squat toilet trying to retrieve his phone

This is why bringing your phone with you to the toilet is not a great idea.
A man in Guangdong, China dropped his phone down a squat toilet in his own home, reports Shanghaiist.
In his attempt to retrieve it he got his hand stuck inside the toilet at around 2am in the morning.
The man lived alone so his cries for help weren't heard till hours later so he spent the rest of the night face down with his hand down the toilet.
Thankfully, a neighbour heard him at around 5am and called firefighters to rescue him.
They found the man's hand had swollen up in size and were forced to break the toilet open to free him.
The condition of the phone is unknown.
