Cement mixer crashes into SMRT bus at Irawaddy Road

A cement mixer truck crashed into an SMRT bus on August 4 while filtering out from Irrawaddy Road to Thomson Road.
A video of the collision was uploaded onto Roads.sg's Facebook page.
In the video, it is obviously the bus driver's right of way and it is puzzling how the cement mixer driver could have failed to see the bus coming.
Contributor Edwin Loh wrote:
"Such a big bus and driver cannot see to give way.
"What if it was a car, a motorbike, a cyclist or pedestrian?
"This accident could have ended in multiple collision with the cars on our left.
"Concrete mixer also mounted kerb and pedestrian ran backwards to avoid being run over."
