Car's engine compartment catches fire outside Zervex Building in Ubi
A car caught fire at Ubi Road 2 on June 16.
Stomper Daniel alerted Stomp to the incident that happened outside the Zervex Building.
He added that the fire occurred about 300 metres away from Paya Lebar Fire Station.
"I called 995 to alert them to the vehicle on fire," he said, sharing that the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived about eight minutes later.
In response to a Stomp query, the SCDF said they were alerted to the fire at 8 Ubi Road 2 at about 10.40am.
"The fire involved the engine compartment of a car," an SCDF spokesperson said.
"SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel."
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
