The police are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Marymount Road and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 on Jan 3.

Stomper Lee alerted Stomp to a video of the accident posted online by Roads.sg.

The post said the motorcyclist was turning right from Marymount Road into Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 when the Hyundai car collided with him.

"After the collision, the lady driver did not stop at the scene. She continued to drive away, completing her turn into Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, leaving behind her vehicle's front bumper at the point of impact with the motorcycle," said the post.

"The video footage shows the motorcycle was significantly damaged. The male biker appeared to be injured. He was seen being assisted by nearby construction workers.

"The male biker struggled to stand and exhibited signs of a limp in one leg."

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at at about 4.30pm and the 51-year-old motorcyclist suffered minor injuries but refused to be taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
