Cabby stops taxi next to car at Tanjong Pagar junction, reaches out to knock on window and scolds driver
A ComfortDelGro taxi driver scolded another driver while waiting at the junction of Tanjong Pagar Road and Tras Lane.
Stomper Randy alerted Stomp to a Facebook video of the incident posted at 6.22am on June 2.
In the video, the taxi is first seen stationary in an awkward position on the road. It then overtook the cam car and rolled to a stop next to a black Peugeot at the junction.
An arm then extended out of the taxi's window to knock on the window of the Peugeot.
"Don't play lah, correct or not," the cabby can be heard shouting.
"Take the photo and send also what, why you some coward? I got photo also what."
Knocking on the window once more, he said: "So scared, don't play."
When the light turned green, the two vehicles went off in different directions.
Though the video is captioned "road rage", some netizens believe there was no rage at all.
One commented: "Walau... You sure this one is road rage? It is two uncles chatting lah."
Another comment was directed at the video taker: "Don't anyhow take video lah... Who knows if they are friends?"
A taxi driver provided this insight: "As a cabby, I tell you tons of people see us on the road and always want to challenge us to a fight."
