Burnt remains and strong smell linger after car catches fire at Mount Faber Road

A car caught on fire along Mount Faber Road on July 13.

Stomper Daniel alerted Stomp to the incident, sharing photos of the aftermath he took at noon on July 14.

The photos show what appears to be the burnt remains of a car, including a piece of the car's grille, a radiator and the radiator casing.

"There was a strong burnt smell," he said.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire on July 13 at about 9.05pm.

SCDF extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
