Bugis restaurant calls out man who enjoyed buffet so much that he didn't foot $25.90 bill, left via back exit
Food coma?
A man allegedly left a Bugis restaurant without footing his bill on July 7, at around 4.55pm.
Hey Yakiniku, located at Bugis Junction, called out the diner in a Facebook post on the same day and said: "Someone enjoyed our eat-all-you-can $25.90 lunch buffet a little too much - and forgot the bill intentionally by walking out via the back door exit.
"Don't worry, our cameras never forget 😉 #CCTVInUse."
The post, which Stomper Sarah alerted Stomp to, was accompanied by screenshots showing the man leaving the restaurant and images of his order.
Hey Yakiniku added in its post: "We work hard to provide good food at affordable price - let's not forget to respect that.
"A gentle reminder: our restaurant is fully monitored by CCTV. Thank you for dining with integrity."
This is not the first time Hey Yakiniku has called out patrons for dining and dashing.
In January, the restaurant made a similarly snarky post involving a family of three who left without settling their $86 bill.
The family later Stomp that they had "cleared up the misunderstanding" with Hey Yakiniku on Jan 26 and made full payment.
