Body of man in his 20s found floating in Kallang River, 2nd such case reported in a day
The body of a man, who was in his 20s, was found floating in Kallang River on Tuesday (Nov 6).
Responding to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to a case of unnatural death at the river at 3.33pm.
The man's body was retrieved and he was pronounced dead by paramedics at scene.
Stomper Ah Boy said he spotted police cars and the Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team at the scene at around 4pm.
"I saw someone swimming in the water," said Ah Boy, who was initially unaware that a search was going on and thought the incident was a false alarm.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Earlier on the same day, a male body was found floating in a canal near Eu Tong Sen Street.
