The body of a 50-year-old man was retrieved from the water at Marina at Keppel Bay on Tuesday morning (Aug 22).

Sharing photos of the body on the dock, Stomper Marc said the deceased was a boat captain, who drowned in the berthing area, but he did not know how it happened.

"The body was found by the crew and security in the marina," said the Stomper.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it received a call for assistance at 2 Keppel Bay Vista at 8.40am.

The man was subsequently pronounced dead by an SCDF paramedic.

When contacted by Stomp, police said that based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.

Police investigations are ongoing.
