BMW plunges into Queensway Shopping Centre basement carpark, 91-year-old car passenger hurt

Two people were hurt after a four-car accident near Queensway Shopping Centre, resulting in a blue BMW plunging into the basement carpark of the mall on Dec 7 afternoon.

Videos showing the aftermath of the accident were posted online.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at about 4.20pm to the accident along Alexandra Road towards Ganges Avenue.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp it was alerted at about 4:25pm and took the two people to National University Hospital.

The police said the 61-year-old female car driver and her 91-year-old female passenger were conscious when taken to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
