Balam Road resident wants pickleball players to 'get the hell out', suggests calling police
A resident at Block 32 Balam Road really does not like pickleball players - and is not afraid to say so.
Stomper Steven shared a photo and a video of pickleball players and complained about the noise. Four players can be seen on a court.
He said: "These youngsters come from nowhere, disturbing the residents.
"All this pickleball has to stop. Call the police if necessary. Tell them to get the hell out."
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights Town Council said on Sept 10: "The town council is aware of the situation and has placed advisories at the hardcourt to remind users to be considerate of the surrounding community and to keep noise levels down during play.
"Additionally, signage has been installed to encourage users to limit games to between 9am and 10pm. We will continue to monitor the situation and are exploring further ways to manage noise levels effectively."
Steven's feedback comes amidst a spate of pickleball noise complaints on Stomp, including a Sept 11 report in which a Tengah resident similarly expressed wishes for pickleball players to go elsewhere.
However, pickleball players including Stompers Stacey and Jo have shared a different perspective and their pain points.
They citied issues such as the lack of proper facilities and difficulty in booking a court.
So where can they go?
