A Toyota Alphard driver allegedly stalked and intimidated two women in a car after a braking incident along Joo Chiat Road on the evening of June 26.

One of the women, Stomper Alexandra, said she and her friend were "harassed and intimidated" by the private hire vehicle (PHV) driver in a prolonged road encounter that left them shaken.

"The incident began at Joo Chiat Road, when another PHV driver ahead stopped in a single-lane road to drop off passengers, causing a brief jam," she recounted.

"The Alphard, driving at a high speed in the narrow lane, was forced to brake abruptly. In frustration, he high-beamed and honked at us aggressively. He appeared confrontational, so we allowed him to pass."

The women and the Alphard went their separate ways, and Alexandra said they continued driving around the area looking for dinner. They eventually entered a public carpark to find a lot.

But moments later, they noticed something alarming.

"To our shock, we realised the same Alphard was behind us, high-beaming and tailing closely," said Alexandra. "He had circled around just to follow and intimidate us.

At Dunman Road, the situation escalated. Alexandra claimed the Alphard sped up from behind, cut in front of their car and abruptly slammed on the brakes in what she believed was a deliberate attempt to cause a collision.

"We avoided the crash and tried to overtake, but he veered towards our car, forcing us to retreat."

The Stomper said they attempted to shake the driver by turning into a small alley, but he continued pursuing them.

"He reappeared, accelerating towards us and stopping just inches away in an apparent attempt to collide head-on. He blocked traffic momentarily before we turned again, and he continued following us."

Fearing for their safety, the women called the police and headed to the nearest police station.

"He only stopped following us midway to the police station," said Alexandra.

"This driver exhibited dangerous and aggressive behaviour, endangering lives and obstructing traffic."
