Aetos auxiliary police officer found dead with gunshot wound to head at Woodlands Checkpoint

A 48-year-old Aetos auxiliary police officer was found dead at a staff rest area in Woodlands Checkpoint on Thursday morning (Jan 10).
Responding to queries by Stomp, the police confirmed that they received a call for assistance at Woodlands Checkpoint at 6.38am
The man, who was discovered alone, had a gunshot wound to his head.
His service revolver was lying beside him.
He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 7.09am.
No foul play is suspected.
Police investigations are ongoing.
