6 arrested for sale of fake luxury goods in Far East Plaza: More than 500 items worth $80k seized

The police have arrested four women and two men, aged between 26 and 54, for their suspected involvement in selling counterfeit luxury goods and apparel.

On Sunday (July 7), officers from the Criminal Investigation Department conducted simultaneous raids during a 16-hour operation against seven retail outlets at Far East Plaza, resulting in the arrests.

More than 500 pieces of trademark-infringing goods such as footwear, watches, bags, caps and accessories with an estimated street value of about $80,000 were seized.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, they may be fined up to $100,000 or face a jail term of up to five years, or both.
