59-year-old actress Chen Xiuhuan poses in bikini and jacket, her husband concerned photos 'a bit sexy'
Before she posted the photos on Instagram, her husband was concerned.
Actress Chen Xiuhuan, 59, had posed for the photos in the July when her Mediacorp contract ended and she became a freelancer.
"The stylist had prepared a jacket for me, but I thought it could be more fashionable. So I added my own bikini." she told Lianhe Zaobao.
"At that time, I thought, since it was a new beginning, why not make some changes?"
Before the photos were posted on Nov 2, her husband, Taiwanese businessman Fred Tsai, asked her whether it was okay. "Seems a bit sexy," he said.
She explained to him that it was fashion and not showing off.
Her post has since garnered more than 2,000 likes and fire emojis from fellow actresses Hong Hui Fang and Apple Hong.
In September, Chen had posted photos of herself in a short body-hugging red dress for London Weight Management with the caption: "As women, no matter our age, we can always look and feel wonderful - not to meet the standards of others, but to boost our confidence and strengthen our inner selves.
"Let us shine brightly, celebrate our true selves, and embrace the journey of self-improvement."
