A motorcyclist, 49, was killed in an accident on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on Saturday afternoon (Sept 16).

Videos online show a man lying motionless on the chevron of the expressway. His helmet had fallen off some distance away. Even farther away were his bike and a car involved in the accident.

Other videos show a police tent placed over the man.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted at 2.10pm to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle, which was believed to have self-skidded along ECP towards Changi Airport.

The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at scene.

A 65-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations, which are ongoing.
