23-year-old rider taken to hospital after accident involving 2 motorcycles and van on PIE
A 23-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after an accident involving two motorcycles and a van on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) on Aug 26.
Stomper Pang Kiat alerted Stomp to the incident and shared photos and a video of the scene near Geylang Bahru.
One motorcycle was seen lying on the road, with traffic cones set up around it.
Paramedics attended to a person on the road shoulder before taking him to an ambulance on a stretcher.
Later photos show a police car and a tow truck at the scene.
In response to a Stomp query, the police said that they were alerted to the accident at about 7pm.
"A 23-year-old male motorcyclist was conveyed conscious to the hospital," a police spokesperson said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
