For 21 years, Stomper Michael has never known his father.

Now, the young man from Indonesia is making a heartfelt plea to Singaporeans to help him find his biological dad.

Michael said he was referred to Stomp by members of a Facebook group after struggling to find his father, a Singaporean citizen of Indian descent.

"He is very important to my life," said Michael, who was raised in Indonesia by his mother and grandmother.

According to his grandmother, Michael's father worked in a hospital or health centre in Singapore, possibly as a staff member or a cleaner.

His mother, Ratun, went to Singapore in 2000 or 2001 and stayed for two to three years before returning to Indonesia in 2004 to give birth to him.

However, since his mother got remarried here, she covered up everything about him and his photo is gone.

Michael shared that he only knows his father's name is Raja.

"On May 10, my birthday, I asked my mother for a photo of my father," he said. "She said she had burned it because she wanted to forget her past."

He added that his grandmother told him he had curly hair as a baby although it has since grown straight after being shaved in childhood.

"I think my father's hair was curly too," he said.

"I don't know what else to do to find him.

"I'm sure he's still alive. I feel it."
