Two people were taken to hospital after a fire broke out at Block 503 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5 in the wee hours of the morning on Tuesday (Aug 7).

Stomper Jacqueline alerted Stomp to the fire and shared a video of it where the flames coming from the fourth-storey unit grew increasingly stronger.

In response to a Stomp media query, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said that SCDF responded to the incident at about 4.30am.

"The fire, which involved contents of a bedroom, was extinguished by SCDF using a water jet and three compressed air foam backpacks," the spokesman said.
