2 men arrested for series of theft of vehicle component parts in Ang Mo Kio
Two men, aged 18 and 25, were arrested for their suspected involvement in a series of cases of theft of vehicle component parts.
The police said in a statement that they received a report on Tuesday (July 9) from a victim who said that the exhaust pipe from his motorcycle was stolen while it was parked at a carpark at Block 554 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division established the identities of the two men and arrested them on Wednesday (July 10).
Preliminary investigations revealed that the duo is believed to be involved in similar cases reported in Ang Mo Kio.
The men will be charged in court with theft of vehicle component parts on Friday (July 12).
If convicted, they may face up to seven years' jail and a fine.
