2 cars on fire on PIE, causing morning traffic jam
Two cars caught fire on the Pan-Island Expressway towards Changi Airport after Paya Lebar Road exit on April 28 morning.
Stomper Jason shared a photo of smoke rising from the flames amid a traffic jam.
Multiple videos of the burning vehicles were posted online.
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at about 7.20am.
The fire was extinguished using a water jet and a compressed air foam backpack, said SCDF, who assessed one person for minor injuries but the person declined to be sent to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
