S'porean driver accused of fleeing with dog after crashing Audi near KSL City Mall
A black Audi with a Singapore-registered licence plate crashed into a Malaysian vehicle near KSL City Mall in Johor Bahru, Malaysia on Feb 25 at 7.15pm, resulting in a three-car collision.
In photos and videos circulating online, an Audi Coupe can be seen with its front severely damaged, while a Proton Persona suffered heavy damage to its front and back.
Other photos showed that three other cars were also damaged in various conditions, with some areas of the pavement broken after the accident.
Many people were watching the scene, with a lot of debris scattered around the area.
A video showed the female driver of the Audi sitting in her car with a dazed expression.
The woman, who appeared to be in her 20s, slowly got out of the car with the help of others but was visibly shaking, seemingly from the accident.
According to Shin Min Daily News, 44-year-old Zhang Yonghua, shared that he was having dinner opposite the scene of the accident when he saw the Audi driving very fast before the accident happened.
He shared that the female driver was shaking from the accident, and left the scene holding a dog.
After she left, a man returned to the vehicle and took some items before leaving.
According to netizens online, the road where the accident took place is small and has many bends, leading some to wonder why the Audi was driving so fast.
The Johor Bahru police confirmed in a statement on their Facebook page that an accident involving five cars occurred at around 7.15pm.
A black Audi was travelling along Jalan Serigala heading towards Jalan Dato Sulaiman when it crashed into a Proton Persona.
The collision led to the driver losing control of the vehicle and crashing into three other cars.
No one suffered any serious injuries and the police have urged the driver involved in the crash to come forward.
