A 12-second TikTok clip of a foreign worker playing a percussion wall in Tampines has warmed netizens' hearts, following another viral moment earlier this month.

Posted on Oct 25 by user @qdotsg, the video shows a worker sitting in front of a playground percussion wall that appears to be under renovation.

With one hand holding his phone and the other running a mallet across the metal bars, he produces a short, melodic tune.

The post's caption reads: "Wish the audio was clearer, but what a fun lil moment to capture," while text on the video says: "Tampines seems to have lots of talent among our foreign worker friends."

Netizens praise the clip as a heartwarming reminder of foreign workers' hard work

At press time, the clip has received at least 1,890 likes, with many commenters praising it as a wholesome reminder of the people behind Singapore's construction sites.

TikTok user @Pro Carrot Farmer described the clip as "wholesome and cute," adding: "We need to start treating these foreign workers like members of our society. They have hobbies and fun too."

Other users expressed gratitude for the contributions of foreign workers.

@tangledup wrote: "Honestly, I'm really grateful for them. They are always working in the hot sun or heavy rain, all to work hard and send money home."

A previous viral clip showed a worker singing Ed Sheeran

The percussion video comes shortly after another viral clip shared on Oct 17 by TikTok user @tamssst, which showed a painter belting out Ed Sheeran's All of the Stars while working on the exterior of her flat.

The video drew more than 240,000 views, 14,800 likes, and 250 comments at press time.

It was also reposted on the Facebook page Singapore Incidents, receiving nearly 1,200 reactions, and on Reddit, earning over 175 upvotes under the title "We want more migrant workers like this please!"
