A man allegedly failed to keep a proper lookout while cycling across a traffic junction in 2024, striking an elderly pedestrian and causing his death.
On July 23, Lester Lu Su Min, 49, was charged with causing the 70-year-old man's death by performing a rash act.
The incident allegedly happened when Lu was cycling along Upper Bukit Timah Road towards Jalan Anak Bukit shortly after 6.30am on March 6, 2024.
He is accused of failing to keep a proper lookout and collided with the senior citizen at a signalised pedestrian crossing.
Lu's case will be mentioned again in court on July 24.
If convicted of causing death by performing a rash act, he can be jailed for up to five years and fined.
