Billows of smoke seen emitting from 11th storey HDB unit at Blk 873 Tampines Street 84
Stomper Edmund was at home when he noticed smoke being emitted from an HDB unit on the 11th storey of Block 873, Tampines Street 84 at around 6.30pm yesterday (Feb 18).
Edmund took a video of the incident and submitted it to Stomp.
There was also a fire engine which arrived shortly.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) has issued official lines on the incident:
"The SCDF was alerted to a case of fire at Block 873, Tampines Street 84 at 6.40pm on Feb 18.
"Two fire engines, one supporting appliance, one Red Rhino and two fire bikes were dispatched.
"The case involved an unattended stove which was manually switched off by SCDF officers."
