Bus captain and colleague lauded for helping wheelchair user near Promenade MRT station
It was a small act of kindness that didn't go unnoticed.
Stomper Darmen was at the bus stop near Promenade MRT station, outside Pan Pacific Hotel, when he witnessed a simple yet touching scene at around 4.02pm on Oct 25.
A Go-Ahead Singapore bus captain and another staff member were seen assisting a passenger in a wheelchair to board bus service 36 safely.
In photos shared by the Stomper, the two men can be seen working together to guide the wheelchair user onto the bus, while other commuters wait patiently behind.
"It really captures a moment of everyday life and human interaction," said Darmen.
"It seems like people are helping someone or getting ready to board a bus, which makes it feel authentic and dynamic."
The Stomper also lauded the "meaning interaction", adding: "The men are actively focused on the task at hand, likely assisting with boarding the bus, while the other passengers are patiently waiting. Kudos to the staff there."
