Roommates make chilling discovery after exploring nearby abandoned nearby building

A couple of roommates living in Virginia, USA, succumbed to their curiosity and decided to explore an abandoned building.
According to Acid Cow, the building was just adjacent to the apartment they were staying at.
Photos of the dilapidated structure they were exploring were less-than-welcoming.
The stairwell leading up was dark and dirty and the interior of the building was littered with trash.
That, however, served as a sinister prelude to what was to come.
The roommates found walls in the apartment filled with date markings.
What was most creepy, however, was the cryptic notes left on the floor.
