Titled 'Hikikomori', this short film by TK Cheng on Viddsee features a man who decides to isolate himself from society for 3 months after being inspired by the "Hikikomori" lifestyle in Japan.
"Hikikomori" are reclusive adolescents or adults who withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement, such as locking themselves up at home.
With only the internet, he was able to meet his satisfaction in his daily life.
Until one day, he realises the extent of his mother's love, a woman he is often at loggerheads with.
