'Whose child is this?': Woman goes viral for rescuing kitten while scolding older cat
A woman rescuing a kitten from a drain while trying to alert an older cat has gone viral, sparking amusement online.
The 56-second TikTok video posted by @emilynngann has garnered over 295,500 views and 19,000 likes at press time.
The clip shows a woman speaking to a cat lying on a grass patch near a drain, saying, "Your child jumped down", while gesturing to a kitten standing precariously on a ledge on the opposite side of a drain.
When the cat doesn't respond, the woman repeats herself in Malay, humorously chiding: "Why do I have to take care of your child?"
The woman then reaches across the drain to pick up the kitten, placing it with the older cat while saying, "Whose child is this?"
Netizens were amused at the woman's remarks and her attempts to communicate with the cat in Malay, describing the situation as "cute" and calling her a "saviour".
"Plot twist: That's not his mother," another joked.
