A Foodpanda delivery rider accidentally blurted “no, brother” when a customer thanked him, beating himself up over the awkward response as he recalled the interaction.

Wayne, the delivery rider in question who also goes by @mang8kyo on TikTok, shared about the embarrassing incident in a video posted on Oct 18, jokingly suggesting that he “might have to go for a check-up soon”.

“Guys, something just happened,” recalls the delivery rider. “I was giving the order to the customer, right? So he said, ‘Thanks, brother’. You know what I said?”

Wayne appears to forget his response for a moment before explaining clumsily that he wanted to say, “no problem, brother”, but ended up saying, “no, brother”, instead.

“What the f*ck am I saying? The f*ck’s wrong with me?” he asks, while appearing to beat himself up for his blunder.

Wayne had previously gone viral for sharing $50 worth of fruits and drinks with people he met along his delivery route, after his customer entered a wrong address, which resulted in a mix-up.

## Netizens reassured him that he was probably tired

The TikTok video has garnered more than 160,000, 18,900 reactions, and 280 comments.

Netizens were mostly understanding in the comments, with many telling Wayne that he was just tired.

“You were probably too tired. Please get some rest and work on ‘no problem brother’,” said a TikTok user.

“You’re too tired, bro, we understand, haha,” another said.

Several attributed his tiredness to the haze.

“Salute food delivery riders. Working hard amidst the haze. Young man, you will do well!!” said a TikToker. “It’s OK, you just inhaled too much haze! Recommendation: wear a mask!” another said.

Several netizens thought it was merely a slip of the tongue and that there was nothing wrong with him.

“It’s fine... Just a slip of the tongue,”said a netizen. “It’s alright, nothing is wrong with you. It’s called a slip of the tongue, and it happens to everyone else, not just you. So chill and stay safe,” another said.

Some netizens took the opportunity to share their own slips-ups.

“One time a customer told me thank you, and I wanted to say ‘no problem’ or ‘you’re welcome’ so I ended up saying, ‘your problem’,” said a TikToker.

“Like me... I used to say, ‘thank you, please come again’, to customers since I was (working at) a retail store and also a cashier... And I said that sentence while (I was) THE CUSTOMER at other shops – it didn't happen once, by the way,” said a netizen.

Yet another said: “It’s OK, prader, I once said ‘carpark’ as ‘pa-kark’. Brain moving too fast for the mouth.”

Several netizens also confessed to finding Wayne cute or good-looking.

“That’s a cute delivery guy,” said one. “Wait, he’s kinda cute, sia, I will order delivery 24/7,” another said. Yet another declared: “OK, I will order more from Foodpanda now.”

One netizen even said he resembled a South Korean actor.

“Not me thinking that you look like the character Choi Jong Yeo (played by Lee Jun-young) from Four Hands, Two Sonatas,” said the TikToker.

Meanwhile, another directed him to a female friend’s home.

“My friend asked you to deliver to her house — she’ll give you tips,” said the netizen. Another grumbled in jest: “How come I don’t get such handsome people delivering my things?”

## Customer heard the blunder, but did not respond

Speaking to Stomp, Wayne said the incident happened during a delivery at 2am.

“The customer heard it but probably didn’t understand what I was saying, so there was no response from him,” he recalled.

Wayne was amused by netizens taking turns to share their own slip-ups, but also expressed gratitude to those who shared messages of support, assuring him that such incidents are normal.
