A woman said her family had flown all the way to Paris, only for her husband to crave a taste of home with a plate of economic rice.

In a TikTok video posted on Oct 25, user @misshippo_ documented the family’s pit stop to satisfy her husband’s craving.

## Spends S$20 on 2 dishes and rice, rates it 8/10

At the start of the video, the woman films herself and her family, saying in Mandarin that her husband is looking for cai fan even while holidaying in Paris.

Their adult son, presumably, chimes in: “He likes to eat cai fan in Singapore, come here also want to eat.”

The video then cuts to her husband entering an economic rice shop, where an array of dishes is laid out behind a glass display.

“You are so dramatic,” she tells her husband, who explains that he has not had cai fan for many days.

Misshippo_ then shows her husband’s order, which includes fried rice, meat and broccoli.

They reveal that the meal, comprising fried rice and two dishes, costs 14 euros, which is about S$20.25.

“He’s very happy because he must eat rice,” she says.

At the end of the video, her husband gives the meal a rating of eight out of 10, much to his family’s surprise.
