# Driver allegedly on Kpod crashes into parked car in Marine Parade, gets into heated altercation

*A man allegedly on Kpod got into a heated altercation with another man after crashing into a parked car in Marine Parade.*

A man allegedly on Kpods — e-cigarette laced with etomidate — got into a heated altercation with another man after crashing into a parked car in Marine Parade.

Footage of the confrontation was shared on the @sgfollowsall Instagram page on Oct 26, showing a barefoot man speaking belligerently to a man filming him.

The man being filmed, dressed in red, appears to be holding a device resembling a vape in one hand while gesturing forcefully at the camera.

The man, however, claims the driver collided with a car some distance behind, hit the kerb, and was dragged out of his car after almost crashing into him. It is unclear if the man behind the camera was driving at the time.

During the expletive-laden altercation, the man filming asks a passer-by if he had called the police and warns the driver multiple times not to touch him.

“Touch me, I’ll spin your f*cking jaw, do you understand?” he says.

“You are drunk, you drove this (pointing at a stricken car kerbside), you almost crashed into me, you banged down here (pointing to the kerb), you crashed into a car down there (pointing a distance behind),” says the man recording.

“Shut the f*ck up, bro. I’m using one hand to record, and I’ll spin your f*cking jaw with the other hand. Do you understand?”

He then tells the driver to sit down, but the driver refuses, glowering at him with nostrils flared, prompting the man to say, “Frog-faced-looking mother-f*cker.

“F*ck your mother,” the driver says repeatedly to the other man before a scuffle ensues, which somehow results in the driver being sprawled on the ground.

The caption accompanying the video says the man in red was on Kpods and that the incident took place along East Coast Road in Marine Parade.

“He almost crashed into me, then crashed into a parked car and started driving off till I ran towards his car and dragged him out. I started recording to capture the plate, and a passer-by called the police. I initially thought he was drunk, but he’s holding a Kpod in the video. The police arrested him. I pushed him (at the) end of the video and restrained him till the police came,” the caption reads.

## Netizens point out vape-like device in driver’s hand

The video has since garnered more than 125,000 views and 235 comments.

Many netizens were critical of the driver.

“Bro, another siao lang (mad person) uncle thinking he tough,” said one. “Love it seeing the guy who tried to be tough first but also (dropped) to the ground first,” another said.

Several pointed out the device that the man was holding.

“There is a vape in his hand, man,” said one.

Many liked the way the video ended — with the driver on his back.

“The last part is the icing on the cake,” said an Instagram user. “THE ENDING WAS EPIC,” said another.

Several also praised the man who recorded the video for apparently detaining the driver until police officers arrived.

“Good job man, that’s the way,” said one. Another said: “Well done. You did the right thing.”

Not everyone took his side, though. One user wrote: The cam guy hit/pushed the red guy first and then said, ‘Don’t touch me’ after that guy scolded his mother... This cam guy really knows how to create ‘evidence’ to defend his action.”

In response to a Stomp query, the police said that they were alerted to an accident involving two vehicles along East Coast Road at about 1am on Oct 25.

No injuries were reported, and a 46-year-old male car driver is assisting with police investigations for the offence of careless driving. Police investigations are ongoing.
