Man says mysterious tech glitches are disrupting his life: 'My music disconnected 50 times in 20 minutes'
Welcome to Stomping Ground - a space where Stompers share reflections, personal essays and social commentaries that spark conversation and insight.
A man has been experiencing unexplained disruptions affecting his devices, online accounts and daily activities for months.
Stomper ZQ said he is seeking help because the ongoing issues have caused significant inconvenience to his regular life "as an unarmed helpless civilian".
The man said that even simple tasks such as listening to music have become difficult.
"For example, while playing regular music of my favourite tunes from Spotify Singapore, my music will automatically disconnect from Bluetooth repeatedly like 50 times within 20 minutes," he said.
He stressed that he is an ordinary, law-abiding individual "living a normal and non-pathological life", employed in a legitimate profession and not involved in anything that would pose a threat to any institution.
Despite this, he said he has experienced repeated issues over the past few months, including:
- Loss or deletion of personal files and documents
- Frequent lockouts from email and banking accounts
- Payment and mobile wallet restrictions
- Delays and irregularities in salary disbursement via a third-party vendor
- Disconnections or interference with applications and connectivity
"My goal is not confrontation, but clarity and the restoration of normalcy to my personal and professional life," the Stomper said.
"I wish to highlight I am currently temporarily employed in a low-income job and am an absolutely law-abiding, normal, unarmed and helpless civilian who poses no threat locally or globally.
"I hope this can help reinforce broader respect for privacy, accountability, and human dignity in our interconnected world."
