*Stay in red-hot Tyrconnell’s corner *

Race 1 (1,100m)

Race 1 (1,100m)

(4) ZACATOO was a beaten favourite last run. Has three nice runs at Turffontein. Can go one better.

(6) LIKE FIRE made good headway at his second start and has the benefit of having run at Scottsville.

(1) BLACK FROST was a little disappointing last race after a useful debut and can improve.

(3) TREATY OF PARIS should improve on his debut effort.

Race 2 (1,950m)

Race 2 (1,950m)

(2) ROYAL VICTORY is likely to start a short-priced favourite as he has much in his favour. Small field, so Muzi Yeni will have to judge pace carefully.

(3) SELUKWE is held by Royal Victory on current showings but is holding form well.

(1) SILENT WAR has come to hand nicely. Missed narrowly last time.

(4) MISS PLATINA is capable of getting involved with the finish.

Race 3 (1,400m)

Race 3 (1,400m)

(8) LAVA BURST may just have needed his last run, although not beaten far.

(10) KWAGGA BLITZ has patchy Highveld form but step-up in trip will suit. Wide draw is a concern.

(4) MASTER DU ROUVRAY is working well at home after a break and he has shown some promise.

(7) ZYAKALA has improved with a tongue-tie and is not out of it.

Race 4 (1,400m)

Race 4 (1,400m)

(2) OUR LADY FATE has improved much in a tongue-tie and this trip is right up her alley.

(5) LIKE A PRAYER is lightly raced and appears to have come to hand. She comes with promising Highveld form to back her claims.

(8) ZENA ROSE is way better than her last run. She goes well this distance and should do well.

(11) TAKATALVI has a tough draw but ran a cracker at long odds last time against a smart winner.

Race 5 (1,400m)

Race 5 (1,400m)

(6) TYRCONNELL will have many admirers, given his recent red-hot form and jockey bookings.

(5) IMPOSING is 4.5kg better off, taking Rachel Venniker’s claim into account, for a length beating by Tyrconnell. Can turn the tables.

(1) BOWIE has the benefit of a pole position draw.

(7) SAVANTRIX won well against weaker sorts last run but is lightly raced and possibly still on the up.

Race 6 (1,600m)

Race 6 (1,600m)

(7) BEACH PALACE takes a big drop in class. The jump in weight may not be an issue.

(10) CONNOISSEUR is struggling for his second win but has made some recent improvement.

(2) ATTABOY may just have needed his last run and has a 4kg claimer aboard from a favourable draw.

(8) PONGOLA returns from a break but is capable on his day.

Race 7 (1,600m)

Race 7 (1,600m)

(3) HODGEPODGE has run smart races since shedding her maiden. Sound effort over course and distance last time.

(7) BUTTERCUP BABY won well at just her second start and looks progressive.

(4) RADU is held by Hodgepodge on their last meeting, but is not without a squeak.

(9) TOMYRIS has come good at her last two and, if she overcomes the draw, can go one better.

Race 8 (1,200m)

Race 8 (1,200m)

(7) PRIZED PLATINUM has hit form on the Highveld and looks capable in this line-up.

(9) COTTON RON took a five-point rise for his last win but that may not be enough to stop him from another victory.

(5) EL DRAQUE is never far back and is now 3kg better off with Cotton Ron for a two-length beating in their last meeting.

(6) NOW I GOT YOU is in good form and has a 2.5kg claimer up to help his chances.

Race 9 (1,200m)

Race 9 (1,200m)

(12) ABADDON is lightly raced and, although a narrow maiden winner last run, he has some scope.

(10) MAGMA MAGIC was touched off at long odds first up out of the maidens and can go one better.

(1) WHO BLINKED has improved leading into his maiden win. He also looks progressive.

(2) PROFESSOR LUPIN is way better than his last run. Trip may be on the sharp side but he does have a useful 2.5kg claimer aboard.
